ISTD - Illustration Ideas

My research into vintage maps led me to start looking at navigation and navigational devices. This will form the content of my zine and I will focus on creating imagery using traditional navigation devices but creating a more abstract visual interpretation of them to create interest. I will also include a small section of text about each method of navigation. Below are some images i have created using existing navigational devices as inspiration for my abstract interpretations.
